Rating System

The Film is Pwn rating system is an exact science developed by the Film is Pwn staff in conjunction with the combined resources of NASA scientists in order to help you decide which movies you should see, own, and avoid:

 - Buy It/Ticket. “Buy It” is if it’s available on DVD and the movie is so incredible it deserves to be in your collection.  “Ticket” is for when the movie still in theaters and it is so excellent that it’s well worth driving to your local theater, paying too much for admission and popcorn, and sitting next to that annoying ten year old who won’t shut up.

 - Rent It. This means that the movie is worth going to your local video store and checking it out, or purchasing on a video on demand service.  The movies in the “Rent It” category are enjoyable and definitely worth watching once or twice, not necessarily going out of your way for.

 - TV. If you have too much time on your hands, movies in the “TV” category are perfect for you — these are the meaningless, innocuous films that kill time but lack any real quality or value.

 - Skip It. Under no circumstances should you see this movie.  Ever.  Skip It means “Skip It.”  Also see the “Films Banned By the Geneva Convention” Films Banned By the Geneva Convention” page for quick hits on movies so hideous they should only be used as a means of torture under the most dire circumstances.  Even Jack Bauer would think twice before inflicting these movies on his worst nemesis.
