Film is Pwn

I don’t want to start off this entry on a controversial note, but I will admit: I like jokes.  No, it’s true.  I like laughing, I like funny people, and I think humor is generally a good thing for men, women, and children ages 3 and up.  But, I truly fail to see the humor in Sacha Baron Cohen’s full length practical joke film, Bruno. I never cared to see Eddie Murphy’s comedy Daddy Day Care, which looked bad at best and hideous at worst.  However, no negative adjective yet invented can describe just how wretched the pseudo-sequel featuring fallen star Cuba Gooding Jr. in Murphy’s role: Daddy Day Camp.  I would not recommend watching the trailer under any circumstances, but the crew from Rifftrax have inserted the clip into a scene from the 1964 Vincent Price film The Last Man on Earth to a hilarious effect: (more…)

Is it possible for a motion picture to achieve every romantic comedy cliche and yet be devoid of any charm attached to even the most run-of-the-mill of said genre?  The movie in question is the forthcoming “Management” starring Jennifer Aniston, Steve Zahn, and Woody Harrelson. (more…)

A few weeks ago we called The Love Guru, The Worst Movie We Never Saw. It’s because we had an innate ability to notice that when Mike Myers remade Tim Meadow’s failed movie The Ladies Man it would be at least as bad as that.
