James Cameron Blames Himself Over Avatar Actors’ Oscar Snubberation
Was the guy from Dodgeball snubbed by the Academy for his stellar performance? James Cameron says so . .
Yesterday the Academy Award nominations were released, and Avatar picked up nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, Editing, Cinematography, and Art Direction. Avatar’s box office receipts are on pace to exceed France’s Gross Domestic Product in 2010. What upset me about Avatar’s nominations mainly was the fact that it’s up for Editing, and we’re talking about a sci-fi action yarn that is nearly three hours in length.
However, James Cameron is apparently upset that his actors were snubbed. Wait, there were actors in Avatar? I was a little distracted by the Hammerhead Elephant and the six legged horse and the flying dragons. . .

I was particularly touched by Michelle Rodriguez’s touching portrayal of the character she played in the thing with the other guy, which was loosely based on how Michelle Rodriguez actually is in real life.
